MADISON, Bryggare (AP)-the of Wisconsin Historical Society has purchased 25 rare photographic studies of the origin of the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin estate and offer a fresh Glimpse keskiaikaiseen architectural home built about 100 years ago.
Some of the photos Show the home of spring green, just after it was built in 1912. The others appear to be retained after the fire destroyed most of the over two years later. Number of photos is never published, and were known to the industry experts.
"We have wonderful, that you have acquired such a collection of fine and rare," society, the Director of the Ellsworth Brown said. The price was not disclosed.
Proofs of origin will be held in the archives of the society, where they join the thousands of Wright related photographs, drawings and documents.
Some of the proofs of origin was used to produce the photos, which were eventually published, but only when limited, said Neil Levine, a professor at Harvard and the history of the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright building Conservancy member. Proofs of origin to provide a more comprehensive perspective than most of the photos released by this time, he said.
"They are unique," Levine said.
The historical society, said on Wednesday it became aware of the photos when the Portage antiques dealer, in so far as to offer them to sell separately for eBay. Some donors scrambled to raise money on 28, so the photos could be kept together in a set, the society said.
The historical society spokesman Bob Granflaten said the Group was to release the purchase price, because the event was a private donors and the private seller.
The society said it will check all the pictures and post them online for researchers and fans appreciate.
