The Wisconsin taxpayer A say on pay

Regular readers know me as a fiscal conservative, but that's not the crowd I run with. My small Facebook posse tends toward liberal Democrats - and they are in an uproar over the goings-on in Wisconsin.

"Today I stand with the teachers, nurses, and all public employees of Wisconsin who are fighting for their rights," a writer friend I have known since high school posted last weekend, after that state's Senate Democrats went on the lam. "If you do too, change this to your status for the rest of the day." Under the tag line "Bake sales vs Billionaires clip...or why Wisconsin matters to us all," a doctor from Maryland (my wife's cousin) posted a video segment of MSNBC's Rachel Maddow discussing the controversy.

My wife cringes when I talk politics with her cousins. But they, like my high school friend, seem to take me in stride. Maybe I am their token Republican. Or maybe I'm like a nattering old aunt who must be treated kindly, even though she is prone to say embarrassing things that may occasionally be true.

In any case, these friends are generally of the political persuasion that supports the "say on pay" rules that the Securities and Exchange Commission, by a party-line vote, imposed last month on publicly traded corporations.(2) Yet they are up in arms about a proposal by Gov. Scott Walker that would, at its core, give Wisconsin taxpayers a say on the pay of most public employees other than police, firefighters and state troopers.

There are three main points in the plan that Walker and Wisconsin's Republican-controlled Legislature say they will pass once Democrats run out of sand to throw in the machinery of government.(1) The first, which public employee unions have said they are prepared to accept, is a requirement that workers pay 5.8 percent of their salaries toward the pensions for which they currently pay nothing, along with about 12 percent of their health insurance premiums, up from 6 percent.

The second point would end the perpetual hold on the taxpayer-funded workforce that unions gained when they first organized public workers decades ago. Unions would have to collect their own dues from workers; workers would have the right not to join unions or pay dues; and members would vote each year whether they wished to continue to be represented.

Unions see this as what President Obama described as an "assault." It could also be described as "accountability." Most of us can leave, or avoid joining, almost any organization. Unions are an exception. In particular, newer employees may question whether they wish to have or join a union when unions vigorously defend seniority systems that pay new workers the least and make certain that they are the first to be laid off, regardless of merit.

Whether or not they constitute an assault, Walker's changes certainly would complicate the lives of union leaders. The question is why taxpayers who pay public employees, or legislators who theoretically work for those taxpayers rather than the unions, should care.

The third point, and I think the most important, is actually a pretty modest restriction. Unions could only bargain for wages, not other items such as work rules (along the lines of "How many sanitation workers must be on each truck?"), and wage increases that exceeded the rise in the Consumer Price Index would have to go to taxpayers for approval.

Most unions do not accept a contract until it has been ratified by members. A taxpayer vote would give taxpayers the same privilege: to accept or reject the deals their negotiators bring them. In the Wisconsin plan, taxpayers would only get this opportunity when wage increases exceeded inflation, which would give unionized public servants almost a free pass to keep up with rising costs. Many taxpayers who work in the private sector will wish they had the same opportunity.

Union contracts cover fewer than 7 percent of private sector workers today. The vast majority who work in private businesses do the things their bosses tell them, the way their bosses tell them. Private-sector workers can advise, complain or, if they are really unhappy, find other jobs. Wisconsin public employees will have the same rights under the governor's plan.

Walker's opponents claim his bill aims to weaken organized labor's political clout by depriving it of members and money, which labor overwhelmingly contributes to Democrats. I think most of my Facebook friends agree. On the other hand, these same Facebook friends - and the unions - objected vehemently to the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision last year, which affirmed the right of unions and corporations to pay for political advertisements. I and most Republicans, on the other hand, saw Citizens United as an important vindication of free speech rights, even for people who disagree with us.

If Walker is trying to undercut union strength at the polls, he picked a funny way to do it. It is safe to say that if favorable union contracts are subject to a popular vote, union members are going to turn out in force for that election. The rest of the public probably will treat the issue with the same yawn now awarded to referenda for school budgets and bond issues. Most of those get approved, and the ones that do not tend to be egregiously bad.

If Wisconsin's union-contract elections coincide with races for public office, one might imagine Democratic candidates could benefit from the improved labor vote. Walker seems willing to let those chips fall where they may.

Fights over public employee compensation are breaking out all over the country. The details vary, but the bottom line is pretty much the same. It comes down to whether public employees will be working for the taxpayers, or vice versa.

Maddow and the unions she supports argue that if this year's budgets can be balanced without far-reaching changes, such changes are unnecessary. The unions are perfectly happy with a system in which they provide the money and manpower to elect the local officials who then confront the unions across the bargaining table. That's the arrangement Walker and the rest of us right-wing zealots want to change, because it sells out the taxpayers who bear the cost of whatever the chummy negotiators agree upon.

Wisconsin is the latest, but not the last, battleground in the fight to give taxpayers a say over what they pay. My friends are all for such democracy when it comes to shareholders in private companies. It puzzles me that they feel differently when it comes to public money.

Then again, I have this unwelcome Republican tendency to utter embarrassing things that may occasionally be true. It's nice to have friends who forgive me for it.

Wisconsin Badgers football - Barry Alvarez and the revival of Badger

Since playing their first football game in 1889, has the University of Wisconsin Badger football program his share of the heights and depths experienced. With a common data set ups have outweighed the downs, 614 WINS and 465 losses certainly, but if it was down there is for a longer period of time. For example, after their 1901 season of Badger teams suffered the team through what only when except is a period of 35 years who could - be complete mediocrity 1912 unbeaten season. A further thirty years poor performances and mediocre results after the Badgers 1962 occurred loss in the Rose Bowl. It would not until Barry Alvarez would start achieved, turn around the fortunes program as head coach of the team in 1990.

Alvarez the man

Barry Alvarez had a strong pedigree in college football when he arrived in Wisconsin. As a player in the 1960s, he was coached by the great Bob Devaney. Later he tried his hand as a high school coach in Nebraska and Iowa, until he received Wizard coaching position at the University of Iowa under the legendary Hawkeye coach Hayden FRY. Short time as an Assistant at the University of Notre Dame the Alvarez concluded trip to the Badgers at the door. His arrival at the school in the year 1990 was beginning the Badger rebirth - although game little reference to the excellent results was the first three seasons, which would soon follow.

Start a slow

Slightly less than spectacular as often happens with new vehicles, which were the early years of the Alvarez era. The first season campaign saw indeed, losing all but their eleven games, badgers. The next two seasons were somewhat better, with five or six loss record in each. Yet there have already been grumblings, the team was not quickly enough ahead. Began that everything began to change as the season in 1993.

Success at last

The ' 93 campaign saw an impressive Badger team charge by the big ten Conference won 10 of their 12 games, with a loss and a tie. It looked they head to the Rose Bowl - where she played and lost three times in its history above. Under Alvarez' leadership, but this Badger team played not only good, but won the Rose Bowl and Darden rankte as number six in the final AP poll of the season is at the end. The 1994 season was an 8 game season, and ended with a season of victory in the Hall of Fame Bowl. In the next eleven seasons the Badgers would suffer losing only two seasons and invites to different Bowl play over and over again would get. Impressively, the programme for the 1998 and 1999 seasons, after the Rose Bowl back both win. When he left the program after the 2005, the most successful coach in the history of the program left an indisputable fact: Wisconsin football was finally back!

What really happens in real estate today

6. June 2011 |(6) comments

I recently attended the second sheriff sale in Kenosha. The two men had a price. There was My client's property was not gone to the end of the period.

The two men went to the "," I found out later. They come often and the quote is small. They are divided into stories of recent deals with information about the sheriff alternates.

The auction began. The alternate member shall attend without having been invited to make use of the addresses, and the smallest. If you want to make your own, you like the quote number.

The first of the home Member State, at least, the price was $ 88,000. "It was the last year the price," one of the men of his own, known as "laughing boy". No one bid. The Bank received it.

Next to the House, there are a number of 100 000 dollars. "It was a price two years ago." Again, does not offer. More Laughter. The Bank got that one too.

Finally, one came to EUR 40 000. "Bottom-feeder" for possession of his many ":" the edge condition and one dollar. " "Sell," the alternate member is called. This is what they were looking for: houses so cheap was unable to forward them.

Then I was feeling sick. Eventually, almost 30 people would lose their homes as the same and these boys were laughing about it. The customer was the liquidation of his assets, stop durations.

Earlier this is my job as a real estate agent I went to the hearing of the Court of Justice of the five customers, you have to try to stop the foreclosures by lawyers with offices for customers to help them see their options (none of them good), to try to save his life. Bankruptcies, short sales, instead of closing. Is not easy. The client who tried to stop them at the end of the bankruptcy filing of the lost. They took his property in any case.

One night by Twin Lakes to the kitchen table. The husband had lost his job, but found the new, which is paid only half of the he used to earn. It is not enough to make the mortgage payment. I had to explain, how to sell the couple's only home for 50 000 less than they owe, because you now. A short sale. We sold in the home of the first person who saw it, the buyer can tell ... was well loved. His wife cried out at the time, had never been, for the first time, which will take place.

In order to be able to take off was the front door of the document, because the owner of the Wheatland could not be read to him. It was organized by his sheriff from: "Sheriff Department is a legal paper, for you that requires your attention." The Closing. His house is priced in the $ value for employees, and now it is empty.

The Government and the banks greed, no idea what it will take the economy and the housing sector is ignorance of the deposition of eating so many innocent people. None of my never missed a payment, until the "perfect storm" for the hit.

Not much joy my job any longer, but at least the bottom-feeders are fun.

What You Think

6. June 2011 |(151) comments

On June 3 with a letter responding to budget cuts, the writer pointed out that the nuclear theme on a daily basis, fought for the budget-balancing their budgets and State ("the Wealthy should pay a fair share of" what you think).

His simple declaration that public employees should be paid the salary that is commensurate to their society as a whole started me thinking. Wisconsin Governor salary is $ 137,092, car, and of the Council of State Governments in the home. One look and I could not help but recognize how long, we have the us in the journey. Arvelisin, insurance is included in his wage package.

Wrong! In his latest video, Rep. What he fails to mention is that the Federal employees health benefits program to increase the Government share Ties of the premiums. If they go to, so the Government does not pay. Ryan-the plan to reduce the Government's share of the amount paid and the beneficiaries would pay more for a year.

So no hypocrisy. We are looking for just the affordable health care.

The recent article by Guy Boulton was excellent (the "procedures for bringing cases to court, a health-care neighborhood," June 1). Why spend billions in space at all? What we have achieved? It is a waste of money, but it sounds like the narrow view is just plain wrong.

Bin Laden, and the consequences of

May 3, 2011 |(9) comments

Whenever I feel I had imagined, which dates to the American forces captured or killed Osama bin Laden. Although I do not know when it would happen if the day has arrived, Carnival elation emotions overwhelmed me.

I was elated that bin Laden was dead, but the fact that the law was finally notified.

Before bin Laden's I remember the very safe, inexpensive and opens in the Americas. The airport had not been anxiety and apprehension. There was an orange or red alerts. Muslim Americans identified the Americans, or only the Muslims without too much conflict between the two. They were feared and looked with disdain was religion.

Disk 11 attacks bin Laden changed America.

Bin Laden, according to the Post of the American victims of the 11 and the adjustments to the disk, and the war on terror against women of the family grieved for the loss. The Americans had some of these freedoms in the nation for the sake of security.

Many Muslim-Americans were identity crisis-a period of time than if their allegiance to their faith in their country, and there was a conflict. Islam was a religion of branded products as violence and intolerance.

Bin Laden and the al-Qaida killed thousands of innocent people. The Koran is taught to the Muslims, if they kill one man, it is as if they killed the entire human community (5: 33). Bin Laden has taught the Muslims countries actions by disloyal they lived, especially in the United States in the Qur'an teach Muslims not to loyalty to those who are in authority over you (4: 60). He taught the Islamic world was to accept the wage "Jihad by the sword" and cause mood disorder again opposite and Qur'anic principles (5: 65).

Finally, the bin Laden believed that the enemies of God, he had them, and go to hell, but the Qur'an has included the salvation for all, which acts righteously (2, 63, and 5: 70).

Bin Laden was President Barack Obama, a "mass murderer", the words that is all.

If a message that can be sent to all my fellow Americans on the basis of this situation, that loyalty to one country and the faith of islam are one and the same. Let men like bin Laden tell you otherwise.

If someone asks you why I'm elated as Muslim American Osama bin Laden's death, I will tell them of the right of the date of its notification.

Teen on the births down,

May 3, 2011 |(0) comments

American Hi-Fi, despite the increase in poverty in the United States Census Bureau, the city Teen pregnancy rate has continued to reject the State-of-the-art.

United way of greater Milwaukee and efforts to reduce the company's partners earn a Teen on the births among 15-to 17-year-olds credit facility. Teen pregnancy affect all and take a joint action by the numbers to keep in order to overcome the obstacles.

But the numbers are still too high. 52 on the births per 1 000 of the Teen mothers getting interest on the births, from ages 15 to 17 in 2006 fell to 44.4 concerning births, in my opinion, the interest rate on the 2009 Teen mothers. The aim is to get the number 30 on the births per 1,000 or lower by the year 2015.

When the urban poverty rises, teen free porn pregnancy rises often also. But that is not the case in Milwaukee. In 2010, the Milwaukee was the poorest nation in the fourth, a large town in one of four children in the upgrade version is poor.

Despite those numbers in the Centre of the city's Teen pregnancy rate has dropped to four years in succession, which is a testament communitywide effort.

The numbers get, still, United way and the partners must be directed to the attention of young girls who have sex at least six years older, often with partners for the statutory rape of a large number of cases. And also, more should be done on the births, the number of Hispanic Teen mothers.

Advertising efforts in the past has been applied to older men, which is the sex of the younger girls, United way, says it intends to change that strategy to reach girls.

In Order To Ensure A High Level. Empowering girls to say "no" to make a difference.

Research shows that the Milwaukee children are twice as likely to have sex before the age of 13, the national average, and twice as likely to have had at least four sexual partners in high school.

The parents must be part of this solution and the United way is to find ways to get more parents involved. Getting young people to reflect on the consequences of sex also can reduce genital disease among teenage American Hi-Fi for high prices. Milwaukee public schools to improve the teaching of comprehensive sex education also would get.

But the United way and its partners are clearly on the right path.

What else can be done to reduce Teen on the births Milwaukee? Keep your letter to the editor, email know what you think about the delivery of the Journal Sentinel.

What You Think

Does the death of Osama bin Laden to make "Mission accomplished" banner, true? Unfortunately, not. Unfortunately, the order of the day is attrition.

But this is one of the undisputed. Former President George w. Bush went into the wall, set the clip, which is intended to be used on it, and President Barack Obama pulled the trigger. Call it what you will-the latest in a series of events in an aggressive act, more than one of us, go to the back a thousand years ancient hatred, the avenging Saint gridlock, the continuing war on disk 11 for the control of the oil. Find your own peace.

However, when political life, at least we have civility may agree on one thing: the world is a better place for Shooting, the head of bin Laden and his body, dropping in the middle of the sea. Kinetic bipartisanship? I'll take it.

For those who are sure bin Laden's forces broke up as a Martyr? It is okay. It is what freedom is about. You say tomato; I say criminal sympathizer. Pass the salt, and bullets.

Dan Wisniewski

Former New York resident and experienced tragedy on disk 11 I think grateful today.

I am grateful for the notorious symbol of the terror of death. I am grateful to our well-funded and-trained military and intelligence apparatus.

I am grateful to our anticipation and the founding of the first amendment. I am grateful to live in the country, which has a deep respect for the rule of law.

I am grateful we have set for us, the value of all the members of the education of the society. I am grateful that we have made good progress along the huge strides forward towards the equal rights of our citizens and to transfer it, anger, and ignorance contribute to the further. I am grateful that we have the women and their.

Now I hope that we can continue to use us as an appropriate analogue country for the common good of the General will of the citizens and the proper use of security equipment exports, what makes America great.

The Royal Wedding as watched the idea in my mind that played on Friday, we had some national unifier of the Americans, such as the British back to the Royals.

Then on Sunday evening, the news that American special forces had killed Osama bin Laden. Hours after the celebrants crowds appeared in New York and Washington, D.C.

We had our presentation of the event. Maybe not in the context of the glorious cause, such as, but the national rejoicing, however, for the wedding.

I think you cannot put Osama bin Laden at a rate of one good reason. I am sure that now is the question of whether it was really bin Laden or impostor, who was killed.

It is important to set directly the community columnist Sherry Schultz in his April 19 column about our sources of energy in power stations, environmental considerations, the arguments concerning the documents.

Pleasant Prairie power plant steam Plume is comparable to the radioactive cloud from the nuclear disaster, the opposition has only one statement that misrepresents outrageous electricity production, renewable energy that allows us to serve more than one million customers in the current state of the environment of Wisconsin.

Fact: in the air a pleasant Prairie power plant, quality assurance, reduce the more than 85% of nitrogen oxide and particulate matter (PM) to collect more than 99,9% to 95% of the sulphur dioxide and over 90% of the mercury.

Fact: about 85% of our coal production capacity either has or will have out-of-the-art emission control technology.

Fact: at the end of 2012, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides emissions from all energy sources in the electric generation is reduced by more than 80% compared to 2000.

A rational approach to our current and future energy needs requires careful and thoughtful analysis of the facts is FALSE and misleading-such as those at issue in the present Schultz n in the column.

Barry McNulty

Milwaukee

Randy Klingelhoets 25. April letters questioned why we promote energy sources. In short we have found the most cost effective way of advertising is important information to share with our customers. As a matter of fact, the cost of the customer on the basis of the radio advertising is the most cost-effective communication vehicle, among many, that we use.

And because customers routinely ask (and waits) for us to provide information about energy efficiency, electricity and natural gas safety, Billing settings, we keep costs down and how we design the future energy needs, always looking for information about effectively communicating with.

How does this affect the price you pay for energy? Very little. Wisconsin Public Service Commission allows only the cost of advertising in the US, which, in particular, to promote the security of the electricity and natural gas, to encourage energy conservation or in advertising, which is ordered by the Commission itself. The amount is about 1/100th per cent per year per customer, because the majority of our advertising costs be recovered through the rates customers pay for electricity and natural gas.

We believe that these costs should be in our company and our stockholders, not our responsibility.

What to look for in a full coverage car insurance quote Wisconsin

If you are considering to apply for a full coverage car insurance quote Wisconsin, you want to be informed and know what to look for, right?

First of all, it is important to know the difference between liability cover and full coverage. Liability insurance is coverage that protects you against damage to property, personal injury and death in Wisconsin. Wisconsin that has set the lowest amounts of liability protection, you are legally allowed to have. These are called the State minimum liability value and they are as follows:

oProperty damage: you need to at least $ 10,000.

oPersonal violation: you need to at least $25,000.

oDeath: You must at least $ 50,000.

Of course you can always more minimum pension provisions acquire value as Wisconsin. It is recommended to actually buy more to ensure that you have enough liability insurance cover.

On the other hand, full coverage car insurance in Wisconsin covers more situations as property damage, personal injury and death. So, if you want full coverage auto insurance in WI, you must choose the types of coverage you feel the most benefits for you, your vehicle and any other driver is off in your household.

A few examples?

Collision coverage: collision coverage provides protection in the event that your vehicle vehicle collides with a different driver. If you have collision coverage, your insurance policy will repair or replacement cost if the damage can be repaired not.

Comprehensive coverage: comprehensive coverage provides protection in the event that your vehicle is damaged by something other than a collision with another vehicle. Damages due to theft, vandalism, fire, animals, and weather are usually covered under comprehensive coverage.

Unpopular speech is still free speech

May 3, 2011 |(7) comments

You know, a funny thing happened on the day, that we all learned the death of Osama bin Laden. This was the exact legal protection, which is set up for young Americans in harm's way to our tens of thousands of the concept of the journal. As the high relief of the event in question, one of the rights of the members of the service, which is fought: the freedom to maintain.

Not only the freedom of another group-talk or banalities. Not only the freedom to win place in Facebook. But the voice of the unpopular and offensive ideas of freedom. And it is, what is represented by May 1.

Such an unpopular speech writer has been a Milwaukee County reserve judge Russell Stamper, who sounded on Facebook, in questioning propriety killing bin Laden, to indicate the item or account in his distaste for American institutions such as the CIA, DEA, FBI and the IRS, and challenging the notion that anyone knows for certain bin Laden was behind the plate for 11 attacks.

I am not writing this column to defend what the Stamper had to say. Defend the right to speak his mind, which, otherwise, in writing, otherwise, in spite of her on Facebook, is one of the brightest Milwaukee County on the desktop. But he has the right and to follow their own bench-intellectual property and the queries, where they can take him out.

This is not a Stamper: n first sought public and political outrage in the country. He has, from time to time, orally and in a variety of topics, people vomited. Yet throughout it all, I have never heard talk of intemperate word wise man.

I appeared in the courtroom, his scores on several occasions, and never heard him sound in the politically tinged comments all in the context of the procedure. He is evenhanded and has rarely, if encountered by the left in the unprepared lawyer or attempting to pay the costs of the people to him. His decisions are closely linked, they follow the law and he also plays favorites.

Until one day and the day has to sit out the year watching the individual judges to limit in any way to know who the fruitcakes are open to the public. Those whose courtroom behavior and abuse, the solutions are so Nutty or stupid defies description. Some of these are actually among the transport of dangerous goods, which, from a sense of personal animus rule for the person, persons or classes of the world towards the General. Stamper has none of the above; and his work in such a way as to affect the date does not affect the performance of his various public, off-the-bench outbreaks päähänpistoista.

General information, such as a Close family member of mine was involved in the County, of which I have absolutely no say and don't listen to it if I tried to share the relevant reserve judges. That having been said, all of you to seriously there breathing fire, the lockstep, stop and watch some of the judges were selected and then y'all informed decision as to who has earned right to throw away the bench.

The magnitude of the threat of Wisconsin

May 3, 2011 |(26) comments

Editorial columnist Ricardo Pimentel has O., blog Quid Pro Ricardorecent events.

Farewell, Wisconsin. Adios.

This is my last column written for the Journal Sentinel staffer. I'm bound for Texas, San Antonio as the title of a new columnist-gig.

How to set up its proposals, letters, phone calls and e-mail messages, a good amount you've already know this. The exchange of letters has become two types: "sorry to see you go" and "do not you have gone yet?" Fortunately, the first of more than a second. Thank you for this.

Some parting comments.

Metro Milwaukee and Wisconsin are perhaps the best kept secret in America. What do I have to inconvenience during the seven years has been the regional, State and people, with an incredible charm, wonderful traditions, diversity, and amount.

But that amount is at risk.

Is popular to believe that the threat is primarily a gaggle of one politician or some of the same. Well, even though the racket, you hear are really the work of jack hammers progressiveness of Wisconsin: n.

This is a cyclical thing. Voting a sufficient number of digits, the residents get to who and what they want. Things will change. Too few numbers of voters to get who they deserve. (Thanks to Scott Walker, .gov, anyway. Even without the fake billionaire calling you were a dream for the new Wisconsin columnist).

But I speak, the threat is to take root, through a series of customs administrations and the umpteen election cycles, survived.

Simply, if Wisconsin repair it in urban areas, and in particular the training of young people living in these systems, it is the end of the great. It is a description of the permission at all.

It is just another country, which has allowed it to go to the seed corn and potential unused unplanted, the glimmers, the fourth, the development of the burst, although from time to time, the more affluent parts of the State.

Any number of metaphors to describe this threat may employ. Engines, misfiring, the gardens untended. But we really need them. Kouluttamatonta youth is becoming a participating adult. Poorly educated young people have the ability to make economic remote that gives the opportunity to compete at the global level, drag the area. The largest city in the State political, this will affect the entire State.

Wisconsin do the growth industry of education feed industry for its future growth. Or continue to pay the invoice at the other end. Does anyone who has run afoul of poor and kouluttamatonta, as well as the legislation, but we filled the prisons and prisons is not exactly a training college. I'm not the first notification of the lack of training and the wasted life, and the correlation between sputtering economies.

So, really? Roads and bridges? State of the schools and their students are the most important infrastructure in the State.

Yes, the Milwaukee public schools, and other urban areas in Wisconsin is struggling in the custom template that will not be able to work with the families of the 21st century, the limits of reality in the 1950s. But this is how you do not get the reform.

• By providing the funding formula which is very dependent on the property and is, therefore, that the taxpayers ' money to support the excessive declined.

• By sending special needs does not recognize that require special attention.

• Cutting financing of even advanced for schools and districts.

• Create and duplicate financing of the education system, which incentivizes the ESC system, which will serve the plant juices of students and pupils, most of the money in the system. In this context, the supporting documents are not cheaper. They are a steal.

• Teachers as incompetent, Vilifying, ensuring that all but the best and the brightest, the introduction of registers had no interest in entering the profession of a meat grinder. And this is abetted by pretending that also teachers have paid too much, when the schema change process for the expected of them in the process of the accused.

Walker is to propose to the Manhattan Project to the attention of the quality of teaching in the cities of Wisconsin, but this is not entered in the previous Government or State school superintendents, either. We had a reform-lite at its best.

Yes, the amount is greater than the parts. But the more successful for the most part, the most populous city in the State-and County-managed to better the amount.

Wisconsin fire missed. I am sure that the State, in the end of the play that goes in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin goes.

In the meantime, the State of Texas, babalík a 27 billion dollar budget deficit and the cross-hairs of the schools. The more things change ... Goodbye and good luck.

Today is the last o. Ricardo Pimentel of the Journal Sentinel Editorial columnist, blogger and author. He played a leading role in the warmer climes, the title is always in his heart, but shall be carried out by the warmth and optimism of the people of Wisconsin n.

Another standard book skandaalien offers a whiff of friends still is based on a proposal from the Madison Foundation's challenge to freedom of religion in the proposed Meditation Room, Milwaukee's Mitchell international airport. Anti-God-the team said, the room should be misused public aid of religion.

Nonsense.

The room would occupy "the type of the blind" at the airport that had been used mainly for storage, according to Airport Manager c. Barry Bateman. John Jørgensen, a corporation, the Assistant County, said the plan was not seen violate Church-State restrictions and that it is "only a quiet place to sit."

Shows us that the airport could be used for more such facilities.

Pushing the room interfaith group seeks donations to cover to provide to the Chapel, including lavender and blue glass panel to decorate the wall facing the airport concourse in the $ 300,000 cost estimate. Group-the Sextet Suzanne McKinney, Cudahy nurses and St. Stephen's Catholic Church-parishioner also other operational costs will be financed. The room includes chairs, benches and open the area for those who wish to use prayer rugs.

In other words, much of the money would be used as a private airport, which is not to get much use now. This is not anything wrong with public aid.

Religious services may be deemed to exist and the recruitment of staff, the room is McKinney chaplains. But the important thing is that the room would endeavour to meet the needs of all of the design.

So visitors can participate in a nondenominational service, ponder the words of the great book of wisdom or books, offer prayer that your land safely, think about the universe. Freedom from religion Foundation could even hold Meditation sessions religion folly. They are all legitimate use and shall not infringe any of the Church-State of the barrier.

County Board has approved the measure and the new County Executive Chris Abele signed the Foundation should drop the objects.

Controller Peggy West on it, "this is a great additional to the airport."

Terrorism and hope for the time of death

May 2, 2011 |(14) comments

Legal migrants had been deep in the compound Sunday within Pakistan.

The right to those who perished in a New York-the Sun blotted by the destruction of the terrible smoke.

The right for those killed in the Pentagon on the same day, and the Flight 93, which COURAGEOUSLY fought terrorists and BOLD died when the hijacked Airliner plummeted Pennsylvania field.

Law used by the USS Cole sailors and the victims of the attacks in East Africa.

Osama bin Laden, from the moment of death is a heady confirmation of the military and intelligence officials, which was the charismatic leader of Afghanistan guarantees against terrorism and Pakistan for almost a decade. The nation owes them a debt. Bin Laden's death should be in the world that America, the time to attack, do not lose the certification.

Bin Laden's followers now may seek revenge his death at the hands of Us troops. The world is a safer place off the Snake's head lopped-even if they try to work with.

The Al-Qaida and bin Laden's message is then rotated to Islam totally nihilistic ideology that wrecked a murder-for-service use. More often than not the victims of the al-Qaida were Muslims.

Bin Laden's death will change the nelihenkisen to the Middle East through the spring as the Arab, indicates that at least places, such as Egypt and Tunisia, the situation in the Protest, the balance sheet can bring down the despots. The world must continue to object to the hateful ideology that bin Laden and his desire to return to the seventh century personified-spawn. It was an idea that seemed starkly swarming the streets of Tunis Cairo divorced hopeful Klimaflüchtlinge onwards. The denunciation of these crowds, and the American Convention on the law of the sea above the influence of the al-Qaida was the characters.

But now that it requires more than the weapons of horror will continue in full force and effect. It requires constant vigilance, reliable intelligence and American power smart tags support requires the use of the friends of democracy. America and its allies may Nurse their passions, as well as aid and economic development with arms.

We agree, Martin s. Indyk, Vice President and Director of the Brookings Institution's foreign policy is. The death of bin Laden's safety, he told The New York Times, "the al-Qaida narrative was already very much doubts.

"The narrative was that violence was the way to redeem the Arab honor and human dignity. But Osama bin Laden and his violence unseating anyone can't. "

And of the Council of American Islamic relations, advocacy organization, said it welcomed bin Laden's death. "As we have repeatedly since the terrorist attacks of 9--11 bin Laden never represented Muslims or Islam," the group said in a statement. "In fact, in addition to the killing of thousands of Americans and the al-Qaida, he caused the deaths of countless Muslims worldwide."

Former President George w. Bush made a clear and organized by bin Laden spent wisely in 2001 that America was at war with Islam after the terrorist attacks in hours. Announcing the death of bin Laden's Sunday evening, President Barack Obama was the same.

"Bin Laden was not the leader of the Muslims; He was a mass murderer from the Muslims, "Obama said. "Indeed, the al-Qaida killed in many countries, such as the Muslims in their own scores. So his demise should, however, welcomed all who believe in peace and dignity. "

Both Presidents deserve credit, diligence in the fight against al-Qaida. Although we believe the Bush Administration's foreign policy as heavily in many ways, he Show solid resolve in the light of the fight, al-Qaida. From an early stage and Obama make his administration by bin Laden's goal.

Bin Laden's compound in the raid was carried out according to the United States and the deadly efficiency of the Special Forces, which quickly subdued the inhabitants, collected intelligence and spirited bin Laden's body, which they eventually were buried at sea. Guantanamo, Cuba, the prisoners, the prison was originally based on the kuulustelijoiden for the tip, the Government set up a business plan, which took the year badly. The break came when they were supplemented by the name and location of the bin Laden trusted courier.

Now, as so many times, the Middle East is at a crossroads: Will bin Laden's death is a bloody chapter in the attack and retribution? May Arab spring movement and take forward democracy and hope to hold the long-suffering people?

Answers to these questions are not only the security of the region but to the United States of America.

The United States, now that Osama bin Laden is dead? Keep your letter to the editor, email know what you think about the delivery of the Journal Sentinel.

We finally got him. TV networks broke into Sunday evening programs to inform, that the search was on for almost 10 years. US Special Forces, eventually received the Osama bin Laden.

It was in the news, that does not believe, never hear. It had been for so long the Sept 11, 2001, the terrible events. I assumed that only the intrinsic merits of I can hear the bulletin had bin Laden has escaped the law and died in a cave somewhere in Pakistan. The wonderful and welcome News was heard of his death Sunday, but it was painful as the returned the trophies.

At the beginning of the disk 11 convalescent St. Robert school parent Tony Coffaro dreamed up the idea of KIDS helping KIDS. He received the custom painted red, white and blue Harley-Davidson, and convinced of the Shorewood school raffle off the bike. They agree to Donate 20% of the World Trade Center on the profits of the Fund Catholic School Scholarship.

The Fund's guarantee that the kindergarten through high school to pay full tuition, which have lost their child to the parent of the World Trade Center attacks. Coffaro asked me to help, and I jumped on board. How is my back, these children could be removed? I would be alone.

Milwaukee Joe O'Neill and Michele fundraisers Weinschrott wanted also. Then-New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Willie g. Davidson, it heard and agreed to autograph the bicycle. Jay Leno plugged up to it. When it was, the scholarship received the $12000 check box in St. Robert.

But the money had not been completed. A scholarship fund to deliver us to come to New York to present the inspection personally. They wanted us to meet certain we had to help the children.

We have waited for the meeting room. In the category of school children walked two. They looked so much like our own, we brought along with us in the presentation. New York-the children said that their fathers were a fireman. The men had participated in the trap into the towers after the rescue of the people in the attacks. They never made it.

They could not have children, said that the people believe in Milwaukee while so much information about them and all others who have lost their parents. They told us that, through the tears, knowing that so far away from the city of strangers in the thought of their dads, and wanted to honor the heroes of their victim, helped facilitate the pain, only a little.

They promised, they never forget to Milwaukee for the people. We knew that we can never forget them.

I thought about the years of such children, but the memory was launched by the Fade. Then came the News on Sunday. Bin Laden was dead. The returned size experience.

It was clear that, as far as possible the Flashback Tuesday in September. The tears, fear, hope, that the right to be notified. I admit I am rejoicing with rest of the nation on Sunday. But then these children thought and wondered if the memories were coming back, too.

This is not a happy ending. It has just come to an end.
